Visiting Oceanside Harbor, LTL

For this week I wanted to observe the opposite side of the fishing pier and get a new perspective of my location. I have felt stuck with my photography for this location, but with the shift of my position came with a new view. I was motivated to use my telephoto lens, and I got really close to some of the birds that are located at the harbor. Viewing these photos enables me to acknowledge their characteristics and differences. Some of the birds, are pelicans and seagulls, and I was able to identify a new bird species, a Double-crested Cormorant who can grow to 2- 3feet, wingspan of 3.5-4ft, and life expectancy of 6-17 years. Which is the bird that is spreading its wings in the fourth picture and orange beak. My last images, include clearer zoomed in images of the small crabs along the jetty's. Additionally, I photographed some landscape images of the harbor. The day was gloomy and calm, hardly any people in the water. I visited November 8th a Wednesday around noon. This day felt really soothing for me, it was windy and refreshing for myself and this project, as it provided me with a clear vision for planning for my finals.
